Hooray! I finally got a genuine Windows XP for just Php 50.00! Curious? Alright then!
I know you hate the WGA (Windows Genuine Advantage) Notification as much as I do. It’s very annoying and well, it makes me feel like a cheapskate whenever I see it on my welcome screen and system tray. Not to mention that it keeps popping up every minute! I was able to solve this problem though, but soon I discovered that disabling the notification is just one cat out of the box. Even without the notification, your system will still fail the WGA validation test which is required to install important Windows updates.
This is why I came across this article. The best news is, it actually works! Hooray! However, due to Microsoft’s complaint, the links to the much needed files have to be removed. Luckily for us, Box.net has a spare. >,<
